My regular readers are familiar with my quilt and my glamour shots. I blogged about my entire process and made 2-3 blocks most weeks. All 111 blocks were used - 110 on the front and 1 on the back for my label.
I paper pieced all of each of the blocks. I set half of them on point.
One side ....
and the other.
The blocks are predominantly one color - either blue/aqua, red or gray except for the ones in the 4 corners that are a mix of red and blue/aqua with sometime some gray mixed in.
Here is the block I used for my quilt label, incorporating a piece of each of the fabrics used in the quilt!
I had so much fun making this first one that I am 12 blocks into the next one! This time the 1930's version.
The quilt took me a year to complete from the first block to the attaching of the binding. (I used a red solid.)
