Fat Quarter Shop - My new blog sponsor

I made my very first quilt when I was a teen.  It was simply large squares of fabric sewn together and (horrible) stitch in the ditch quilting.  
Fast forward some number (not saying how many!) years to 2005 when I truly started my quilting obsession.

Somewhere in those early years, I discovered the ease of online shopping for fabric and became obsessed (there is that word again!) with various Fat Quarter Shop Block of the Month (BOM) kits.

I clearly remember the excitement of the envelope and pattern arriving in my mailbox and the fun of building a quilt one block at a time.  BOM kits from Fat Quarter Shop are incredibly generous with their fabric cuts.

My all time favorite BOM was the 12 Days of Christmas.  I finished this one in December 2011 and loved every block.

Fat Quarter Shop has a tremendous selection of fabric and carry lines from many, many designers and manufacturers - yardage and precuts!

In fact, there is a Fat Quarter Shop precut exclusive called the Jolly Bar.

 I am continually tempted by their diverse selection of new Block of the Months programs. Prairie Summer was just announced - isn't it pretty?
