Fall is almost here.
I'll be sorry to see summer end since I love to swim and just adore the long hours of daylight each day.
But September brings fall, pumpkins, and cooler temperatures. And this year, September also brings my very first quilt along.
I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Was that enough exclamation points? Here is a few more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
I've designed a wall hanging that will finish at 31 x 31". You'll get to use all the deep yummy colors for fall - oranges, deep golds and browns.
The quilt is called Harvest.
I used 7 different fabrics in the quilt for the blocks and 2 other fabrics for the accent colors. You can go even scrappier.
Along the way, we'll make some favorite blocks including flying geese and churn dash blocks. Never made some of these blocks before? I've got you covered with detailed photos and step by step instructions as part of my Block 101 series.
The specific fabric requirements will be posted next week and then the blocks will be posted in pairs throughout September. You can find the full schedule here on the Harvest QAL information page.
It will be great fun! I'd be thrilled to have you sew along with me.
Will you come play along?
Happy Stitching!
I will play with you Patty, warning you ahead of time that I have a tendency to veer off pattern but this is very cute!
