I've started a daily yoga ritual in early January.  I found this wonderful online instructor and randomly go through her various videos.

A friend inspired me to try yoga so I made her a small quilt.   (I've posted a mini tutorial for how I made this on my Elm Street Quilts blog.)

What does Namaste mean?

The literal definition is 'I bow to you'.  I found multiple interpretations on line and liked this one the best -

Namaste - a symbol of gratitude and respect; it is a way of sending out to the universe something good, something that makes sense in that instant.....

To all my quilting friends...........   Namaste

I'll be linking up here.

Happy Stitching!

  1. I love that definition of namaste. Thanks for sharing!

  2. My yoga teacher says "the light in me salutes the light in you"
    I love that.

  3. I, too, love yoga! I do it regularly to reduce stress. Love this cute gift you made for your friend. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Thank you so much for linking to Yoga with Adriene - she is exactly what I needed to re-start my lagging yoga practice. Loving her! Namaste
