Autumn in the air

I did a little organizing of my sewing room corner of playroom this weekend which included assembling a bookcase.  My DD (13) did all the work - she loved using power tools!

I did more work on my charm pack blocks.  This is the Hot Cross Schnibble pattern.  Charm pack is Grand Finale by Sandy Gervais.

I need 25 blocks - only made 24 so far. After pressing and trimming, I took a look at how this is going to come together.

There are a few deep purple and deep aqua charms in here that I may have pulled out if I had planned ahead.

Here are the blocks with the purple and aqua block included:

Here are the blocks without the purple and aqua:

What do you think?

Right now I am thinking of calling this little quilt Autumn

Happy Stitching!

  2. Definitely leave the aqua and purple in - they add that "spark" that makes it pop. IMHO from Judy C in NC - very nice.

  3. I love power tools too... and that looks like a very powerful drill!

I like the purples and aquas but really... it's up to you... aren't I a lot of help?

  5. Hi, I was looking at Quilt Taffy's giveaway and in the comments I saw another person from Cary, so I decided to stop by and say hello. Love your blog!

  6. Yay power tools! Your DD is a girl after my own heart.

I love the purple and aqua in the quilt. Think purple leaves, and aqua skies.
