Some more Farmer's Wife blocks this week.
Dolly (28) - sooooooooo many pieces in this one. I always color in the block ahead of time to help me get the right fabrics in the right place. I changed it all up this time as I was sewing knowing full well that I was running the risk I'd need the seam ripper.
So what happened?
I messed up - but I didn't notice it until I was writing my blog post.
See the 9 patch in the center? There should have been a square of red in the center top and bottom.
Should I leave it alone and just call it my own unique colorway? Or should I fix it?
Doris (29) - I used this same set of fabrics in another block and like it so chose to do it again. This block went together rather easy - especially in comparison to Dolly.
I know you are seeing these blocks all over blog land. These are from the book - Farmer's Wife 1930's Sampler Quilt and there are two great quilt alongs with plenty of tips and ideas. VeryKerryBerry is doing the blocks in numerical order while Gnome Angel is doing them in order from easiest to hardest.
My fabrics are from Moda Fig Tree. There are so many different versions underway right now - so much inspiration out there!
Happy Stitching!
