Two Farmer's Wife blocks this week. With 18 of 99 done, I'm 2/9 or 22% done! But for me, this is all about enjoying the process. These are all paper pieced and so far, I'm having great fun.
Bride (17) - I am not certain whether any true bride would carry this down the aisle but the block fits my color palette!
Carol (18) - I had a lot of fun with this one. I just love the simplicity of a 2 color block.
Every 9 blocks calls for a group photo. Here are blocks 10 through 18:
I lined them up in numberical order. Clearly got a bunch of two green blocks that I'll want to spread out in the final quilt.
Here are blocks 1-9:
My favorite block so far is the center one above - #5.
Interested in playing along? These are from the book - Farmer's Wife 1930's Sampler Quilt and there are two great quilt alongs with plenty of tips and ideas. VeryKerryBerry is doing the blocks in numerical order while Gnome Angel is doing them in order from easiest to hardest.
My fabrics are from Moda Fig Tree. There are so many different versions underway right now - so much inspiration out there!
Angie announced Block Party Bingo Linky for this week. I couldn't resist so I made ahead block 24 and 94 so I could play along.
Happy Stitching!
I haven't made these 2 yet, yours look great :) Their "party shots" together really look wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI love your group photo shots! I skipped over Carol because I want to use a bunch of different scraps for the half square triangles. Are you keeping this FW for yourself??
