27 more blocks to go!!! Clearly the home stretch!
82 - Spider Legs (icky block name but fun block!)
83 - Spider Web (enough of this spider theme)
84 - Spool (GREAT block!)
I am setting half of these blocks on point. I played with the first 80 and made some decisions on the layout so I can better plan the color choices for the remaining blocks.
Too bad i don't have a design wall. This will be a big quilt and I had to clean it up right away. The blue postit notes represent the blocks I need to make. I am going to concentrate the next few blocks as grey so I can fill in the top and actually assemble the first 5 rows.
The quilt will be 10 blocks by 11 blocks with 1 left over for the quilt label!
Hope you are having a great week.
Happy Stitching!
Ok, I don't like the name, lol...but that spider leg block is really striking. Looks like a challenging sew though. I'm with you on a design wall...I use the floor too...the cat tends to help a bit too much though.
ReplyDeleteI use the dining room table when I can. I created a "design wall" by using a flannel-backed picnic table cloth and gluing it to a round curtain rod. I roll it up when not in use and then hang it on a cabinet when I need one. It is not nearly large enough for anything larger than a child's quilt, but it helps.
ReplyDeleteYour rug actually looked like applique when I first saw the layout. Matched well!
BTW, this is a gorgeous quilt and will be incredible when finished.
