It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....
My fabric basket is 8 x 12 x 5 inches. I used two layers of batting an quilted in straight lines.
I used a cute fabric from Sweetwater's Countdown to Christmas for the basket lining.
I had gotten this cute redwork pattern from Sew Happy Me about a year ago.
I almost titled this post "What do my neighbors think?" Here I am on a 90 degree afternoon decorating a mini pine tree in my front yard!
Please grab that cup of hot chocolate, put on the holiday tunes and join me in visiting the other lovely people I am fortunate enough to share today with! Thanks to Carol and Mdmn Samm for another great hop!
August 8

The schedule for the full hop can be found here on Carol's blog. Ho Ho Ho!

What a cute bag! Let your neighbors in on the blog hop! :-)
ReplyDeleteSweet basket and lovely redwork.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
That is just too funny - what do the neighbors think. I have a neighbor who had a little goat, two chickens, and bees. Well, until the chicken were in my yard using it for a toilet. I knew he had a goat. I didn't know about the bees and the chickens and bees. Animal control came out and he agreed to get rid of the goat and the chickens and comply with city code for the bees. I didn't care what he did next door as long as they stayed next door. I didn't want chicken doo in my yard. It turned out he had to have an acre, not counting the property the house is on per goat. I don't even have 1/2 acre and his property is much smaller than mine. I've seen one of the chickens since and not in some time.
ReplyDeleteI love your fabric bag. Your embroidery is impeccable. The lining is cute. The plain red fabric is perfect as it doesn't compete with and complements the embroidery. Thanks for letting us know the pattern for the stitchery, too. Thanks for participating, sharing your marvelous cretivity, inspiring us for Christmas in what is heat for most of us, and making us chuckle.
What a lovely project! :)
