Happy July!

Happy July!

My July goal for Another Lovely Year of Finishes is to make the 320 HST that I need for my summer quilt project.

I am using Noteworthy and have the squares cut and ready to go.

I am making the Lemonye Star the easy HST way.  Here is my first and only block - these will be 16" blocks finished.

While I am not using this method shown in demo from Missouri Star Quilt Co (here), I am going to use the idea to snowball the corners of the block.

And - note to self - by 'done', you mean 320 HST pressed and trimmed!!!  (Bonus points for having the blocks assembled.)

Tomorrow is my day in the Stamp On It Blog Hop.  Thearica and Madm Samm have done a great job cheering everyone on.  There have been many beautiful entries. To see the full schedule, please go to Pigtales and Quilts or visit Sew We Quilt.

Happy Stitching!

  1. I am looking forward to seeing this, I love the block, so much so that in the past I have made it using EPP.

  3. Wow! I just had to comment on your perseverance. One thing I learned about myself is that I love learning a technique but repetition on a grand scale is boring. So I congratulate you for tackling this beautiful LeMoyne Star quilt. Best wishes.
