I had several projects under the needle at once (or at least intermingled) over the weekend. I felt so productive!
First up was the block for Votes for Women block of the month. I am not certain that I like the block especially as it relates to the other blocks. However, it turned out to be fun to make. I pieced it together and then needle turned appliqued it to the background square.
Next up was the 3rd block from the tiny quilt along at Heartspun Quilts. Shown are the three blocks to date - the one furthest to the right with all the HST is the newest block.
Finally, I decided to play along with the Blogger Girls Block of the Month. There are 6 blocks in total and you can choose to make each block twice using very different fabric placement. Right now, I decided to make just 6 blocks and I cracked open my Sew Mama Sew layer cake for this one. I always enjoy geese and star blocks so this was right up my alley.
Fun, fun, fun for sure!
Happy Stitching!
Patty -- I may have to emulate that red star block into a quilt top. Here lately I have been fixated on large star quilts and went out the other day and gathered some fabrics that I think would do well with this layout. Thanks for the insporation
ReplyDeleteNice Parasol, I agree, it is more "30's" than the other patterns so I changed mine...I love your MSS star, I love the texty fabrics in that line so much I bought 2 bolts...and I am still hoarding it and afraid to cut into it, lol!
