Red, White & Blue Blog Hop

Welcome!

I'm excited to share my two red, white and blue blocks as part of the Blog Hop.  Thanks to Jane and Madame Samm for getting us organized.

For me, a blog hop is an excuse to try something new.  For this hop, I decided to give paper piecing a try and had a blast.  Both of my blocks can be found on Ulas Quiltpage .

This first block is a New York Beauty block.

This second block pattern is called a 16 point.  (I had a bit of trouble with the center where everything came together as there was a bit of bulk to deal with.)

Thanks again for stopping by and make sure you visit all the other talented quilters I am lucky to be sharing day 9 with!

July 9th

If you've missed a couple of days in there, visit Jane's blog and navigate from the master schedule - there are some really wonderful blocks out there!

Happy Stitching!

  23. Love your blocks! I'm VERY partial to paper piecing. Did you press your seams open? That might help? Also - you can always hide the center with a button or yoyo! If some threads show - take a fine point permanent marker that matches the fabric and lightly touch the thread! Seriously, you notice it WAY more than anyone else will! Thanks for sharing!
