Wandering Camera - A View of September

I grabbed my camera and headed off to my local park for a walk to search for signs of summer.  Yes, I know fall is almost upon us but summer is my favorite season and I always hate to see it end.

Love these purple flowers

There a lake barely visible through the trees

Perhaps a hint of leaves starting to turn - say it isn't so!

This photo doesn't capture the amazing rainbow seen right as the sun was going down.  You can even see the street light has come on!

I logged 90 km of swimming this summer!

I'll be joining the linky party at Whims and Fancies.

A View from my part of the world

I love to take photographs and enjoy experimenting with my camera.

When I saw Soma's challenge to take a photo each day, I was intrigued and set out to capture my part of the world.   I didn't quite manage to take photos every day but here are some of my favorites.

We had a storm in January that dumped mainly sleet but then dusted it off with snow.

Since a lot of my blog in progress photos are taken inside, I need to practice choosing the correct settings on my camera to get the best photo from available lightening.   See the artistically staged dust in this first photo?

I've committed myself to taking a walk everyday.  Some times with a friend and sometimes just me and a podcast.   There is a beautiful lake near my home and after I did the walk around the lake trying to avoid the mud, I grabbed my camera.

I love that little pink in this photo from a young girl feeding the ducks.

There you go - this is a view from my part of the world.
