Happy Blog Anniversary to Me and a Giveaway for you!

Being a quilting blogger has been fantastic!!

I love using my blog as a way to record my quilting journey.

I love all the new blog friends I have met.

I look forward every day to reading the many quilting blogs I follow.

When I first started by blog, I called it NC Weekend Quilter because that is basically when I found the time to quilt.  But then I decided to find time during the week whenever I could for a few minutes of quilting.  Sometimes all I do is press some blocks or straighten my sewing space.  But making the time to be around fabric and the creative process makes me happy.  So I renamed my blog A Stitch in Time to better reflect the goal of making time often.


This was the photo I shared on my very first post that no one but my mom saw!!

To celebrate, I've decided to have a small giveaway of a charm pack of Rose Parade by Moda.

I'd like to celebrate my followers so this is a follower only giveaway.  One entry per person - just leave a comment and tell me you are a follower.   New followers are welcome!

I am very pleased to take part in my very first giveaway - as part of the massive amount of giveaways that Sew Mama Sew is hosting.  You have December 17 so follow the button in my side bar to find lists of giveaways from bloggers and shops!!


I love to quilt and have been reading quilting blogs for almost a year.  A few weeks ago, I decided to join the fun and start my own blog to record my adventures in quilting and the occasional detour into knitting.  


One of my favorite fabric lines is Pure by Sweetwater.  I made a number of bags from a jelly roll as gifts and decided to make one more for my very first giveaway!

The giveaway bag will be similar with the Pure jelly roll strip on top but I'll be using slightly different colors than shown in the photo.  (A bit of a surprise.) 


To enter my giveaway just leave a comment on my blog - that's it.    The winner will be chosen Saturday, Dec 18th from my followers.    (This giveaway is for US residents only because I just can't make a trip to the post office this time of year without having to stand in long lines.)

Accuquilt Go Giveaway.

Have you been following the Accuquilt Go craze in all the blogs?  Here is a giveaway I found that I just entered at Alderwood Quilts and another at Irish Muses.    My (current) favorite dies for my wish list are the 2 1/2 strip cutter, the Holiday Melody and the Double Wedding Ring.  I am very interested to give this thing a try.

On the quilting front, I will be posting a tutorial on small zippered bags.  I am use some of my Pure Jelly roll.  Pictures and instructions coming soon!
