Doodling quilt designs

Do you doddle?  Doddle quilt designs that is?

Rachel @ Stitched in Color has teamed up with Gotham Quilts for an Instagram based 30 day design challenge.  You can read about it here.  While my intentions were to do it every day in the month of September, I fell off that pace quickly by the squirrel effect - made a design (the leaf one) and now want to make that quilt.  Contest is open until the end of October so you can join!

I'm sharing on instagram @elmstreetquilts.  This is what I have so far - 6 designs along with a few Instagram shares of some other things!

I've also been doodling to practice my FMQ, especially feathers (I'll spare you those photos!)  I was interested to try this FMQ challenge from Darlene @QuiltShopGal . I downloaded the free template and gave it a try.  The technique looks quite interesting and I need to investigate the actual templates some more.
