Farmer's Wife 1930's: Mrs. Anderson (66) & Mrs. Brown (67)

I've fallen just a bit behind in my quest to do two Farmer's Wife blocks each week.  In fact, it has been almost a month since I last posted any new ones.

But I'm not going to beat myself up or anything.   It isn't a race - my goal is to finish up the blocks sometime this fall.   I've got a lot of them done - here is a group photo of blocks 1 through 63

And now the latest blocks -

Mrs. Anderson (66) - love this combination of the red with the taupe color

Mrs. Brown (67) - although the group photo above reads 'orange' to me because of the lighting, I hadn't used orange in awhile so it was time to use it in a block.

I put together a pinterest board of just my Farmer's Wife blocks so I can get a good look at them all at once.  Time to start focusing on the right variety of fabric combinations.

Interested in playing along?  These are from the book -   Farmer's Wife 1930's Sampler Quilt and there are two great quilt alongs with plenty of tips and ideas.  VeryKerryBerry  is doing the blocks in numerical order while Gnome Angel is doing them in order from easiest to hardest.

My fabrics are from Moda Fig Tree.  There are so many different versions underway right now - so much inspiration out there!

Happy Stitching!
