A View from My Part of the World - June

I've a collection of pictures to share today - many of these are particular shots I was trying to get with my camera.

First up is my attempt at making safety pins looks interesting!

I purchased some wool recently and wanted to take a 'flat' shot.  I like how it turned out!

Caught the mini mini craze?  (I blogged about it here.)  I like how the dalek is examining this mini mini in tribute to #11.  (If anyone recognizes this pattern, please let me know so I can credit the designer.  I made the block a few years ago and don't remember where I sourced it from.)

This past weekend was filled with dance recitals for my two girls.  I had great fun using my camera set on an ISO 12800 to capture photos without needing to leave the shutter open too long.  My daughter is not actually visible in this photo but it is still a favorite to share.

Two weeks ago, it was graduation.  I tried for a couple of 'artsy' photos with her cap and some balloons.   (Note - it is hard to take a photo of a balloon when you are holding it with one hand and the camera with another!)

This final shot was not taken but me but is the shot I wanted to take.  However, I didn't make it outside from where the ceremony took place fast enough.  Still fun to share.  My girl is in there somewhere!

Done!

I'll be joining the linky part at Whims and Fancies here.

Before you go, have you seen my repeat QAL yet?  Check it out here.

Happy Stitching!
