Allietare - clue 5

Clue 5 for Bonnie Hunter's  Allietare mystery

It was fun to assemble these - no fabric cutting required since we had done these pieces in previous weeks!

Still continuing to make roughly a third of the required blocks. Once we get to the big reveal, I can adjust!

And speaking of the big reveal, in the last 3 mysteries I've done of Bonnie's, the big reveal happens right around New Year's day.  I'll be checking Bonnie's blog first thing every day.  Still loving my fabric choices and can't wait to see how this all goes together!

I made 26 of these 4 patches and have 6 sets of the rectangle pairs.

Here is a group shot of the blocks.

Overall, I've got 6 sets of the rectangles, 38 of the red with the white rectangle (clue 2), 10 sets of 4 of the red / white with black triangles (clue 4), 40 of the gold / white 4-patches (clue 3) along with the 26 of clue 5.

I'll be linking up here on Bonnie's blog.  I hope those of you sewing along are having as much fun as I am!  (Thanks, Bonnie.)

I've been spending time enjoying the end of year fabric sales.  Two of my sponsors have some great deals going on right now.  Green Fairy Quilts is having a year end clearance on EVERYTHING!  (I've got some charm packs heading my way now!)   Fat Quarter Shop has a clearance sale underway - I found some fun Star Trek fabric that is calling my name.  Use code COZY2016 to save $5 on Lori Holt’s 2016 Cozy Cottage Calendar.

My fabrics are:

  • red is FigTree Farmhouse,
  • gold is Hello Fall
  • black is Lakeside Gatherings Beacon Titanium
  • gray is Lakeside Gatherings Mini Anchors Dock.

Happy Stitching!

  1. LOVE your colors! This one has been fun but I am figuring she will throw a twist in here somewhere, lol I have the whole Lakeside collection(probably enough for 3 quilts) that I am hoarding for just right pattern.

  2. I wonder if the big reveal is about to happen, or if there will be two more installments. Happy sewing, either way, and happy new year!
