Farmer's Wife Blocks 88 - 90

Early last week, we got about an inch (or less) of snow, sleet, freezing rain that closed schools for 4 days.  Yes, 4 days.  Somewhat embarressing but with very cold temperatures, North Carolina just can't deal with it.

Temps climbed into the 50's on Sunday so icy roads are behind us.

Had fun with this week's FW blocks.#88 -  Star of Hope  - using a piece of my favorite fabric in this one.

#89 - Steps to the Altar  - this one didn't look at crooked in person.  May need to fix it a bit.

#90 -  Storm Signal  - Wanted to make this an all gray block but it looked ... you guessed it .. too gray!

Have a great week!

Happy Stitching!

  1. Our school is doing extended days to try and make up snow days without going all summer. Wish I could feel that 50 degrees..it was -5 when I got up this morning. I really am so ready for Spring! I like the pop of color in that last block...makes me want a whole quilt worth :)

  2. Where do you live? I'm in Charlotte. My granddaughter, in Clemmons, was out of school most of the week. It's snowing right now in Charlotte. Enjoy reading your blog!
