American Stars

Several years ago, there was a lovely quilt shop near my home that carried a wide variety of fabrics and always had an abundance of fat quarters placed invitingly around the store.  So easy to just grab a few and build up a stash.   (The day this store closed was a sad one.)

I assembled a variety of star fabrics with a plan of making a star quilt.   I kept all the fabrics sorted together and recently 'rediscovered' them.   There was a bunch of geese made in support of star blocks so I assembled them this weekend.  Here are 5 of them - I've another 4 almost completed.

This is my favorite one.  I love the star fabric and the stripped fabric.  Sadly, I've no idea what fabric line that is nor do I have any more.

I've a fat quarter of this background fabric so it might get me a few more stars.

Aren't they fun?

I am thinking of kitting up some stars as my own leader and ender project with a goal of assembling of full quilt.

What do you think?

Happy Stitching!

  1. I believe the striped fabric is from Beach House by Blackbird Designs. I may have some to share if you are interested.
