In celebration of each of my sister's hitting the big 50, I make them a quilt. I'm the oldest of 7 girls and this is girl number 4 - the middle one!
I call this quilt Middle Sister and used the beautiful Moda Tapestry line. These colors and this pattern are just perfect for my sister Caroline.
I actually pieced this jewel box pattern in August during our week at the beach. (Should have taken a road trip back for the finish photo!)
Finally got the binding on in February and mailed it to my sister. Her birthday is April 25 so it was gifted in plenty of time to help ease her way into the next decade.
The quilting pattern is an all over design done by Cathy Kirk. I can not remember the name of the pattern - fit nicely though with the shapes in the fabric.
Happy Birthday Caroline! Love you sis!
