I did that to myself last week - pushing myself to make great progress on various quilting projects for no reason other than I decided progress was required.
Decided to change that this weekend. Enjoying the process of creating is what it is ALL about!
I worked on several little projects.
Decided on my next Schnibble project and had so much fun actually sorting through all the lovely charm squares to plan things out. I love aqua and red so they will play the staring role.
I love making geese so quite enjoyed Melissa's step in the Start Bright quilt-a-long and made some geese!
Made a house to join the snowman I made for Quilt Doodle Doodle quilt a-long. I will be doing this one as a wall hanging. As you can see in this photo borrowed from Cindy's blog, there will be 6 small rows and on row with large blocks in the center. I decided to make my house block but not yet sew on the large block of sky until later. One of these Feb / Mar / May / Sept blocks may go on the back to reduce the width of the quilt. Or perhaps one of the rows to reduce the height. Loving the mystery so decided to make 'most' of the block and decide once the quilt reveals itself how much more sky to add.
Happy Stitching!
Wow, you have been busy. Your geese look awesome!! Such a pretty little line of them ;) Great job on getting them all done :)
ReplyDeleteLooking good...love those geese on the rail!! and I am there too, trying to finish the Bonnie Hunter top and gave myself permission to not put on the borders (I think I will use those triangles on the back) so hope to finish the top today...then back to the Who quilt...this is for fun, right??...lol!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks for the Quilt Doodle BOM are wonderful! Thank you for the sweet posting.
ReplyDeleteWonderful projects and I share your resolve to enjoy the process! Sometimes I have to give myself a little pep talk as I shift gears this year. This is what I choose to do for fun!
