Peppermint Candy

'Tis the season.

Mug rugs!

Quick assembly on these beauties - I cut the background 3/4 of an inch larger so it was a simple fold over to create the binding.

These were fast to assemble because after I made this quilt two years ago using Sweetwater Countdown to Christmas, I had a bunch of extra triangles.  Just dug them out of my scrap bag and was able to quickly assemble.

This quilt is called Jingle.  I love getting it out each December.  One of my favorite parts is the border.

I just realized that I am fast approaching my 500th post - this is post 494!  I've been blogging for three years and love it.  I appreciate my blogging friends and the chance to record my journey.  Look out for a 500th post giveaway!

Happy Stitching!

  1. I have made a stack of coasters and a few table toppers, now methinks some hexie mug rug love is fast approaching. Lovely quilt, I haven't made a Christmas quilt for myself yet, I have spring, summer and autumn so it better be next in line, ready for 2014.

  2. Fun coasters and very smart way to bind them. Fabulous quilt. Ready for Peace and Joy...

  3. Love your Jingle quilt and also the mug rugs - what a clever idea!

  4. Cute mug rugs and I love that quilt

  5. What a great idea for holiday coasters! A good idea about the fold-over-from-the-back for binding too!

Congratulations (in advance) for your 500th post! That's an accomplishment...

  6. Cute holiday coasters. Love the quilt too.
