Shhhhhh!

Shhhhh!  Don't tell my sister but I've made her a quilt for her upcoming significant birthday.

Luckily she doesn't read my blog - my mom does (Hi, Mom!).  This quilt is named Lucy and she is all back from the LAQ.  She did an overall loopy pattern and managed to incorporate capital L all through the design - L for Lucy (and for my sister whose name is Linda!)

The fabric on the front is from Lucy and the Chocolate factory - remember that scene where she is hiding the candy in her hat?  Those stars are covered with pink hats filled with candy!

On the back, the main fabric is covered with red hearts that say "I Love Lucy".  I broke it up in two areas with this filmstrip effect of Lucy, Ethel, Ricky & Fred.

I really like the label I made as well.

The quilt is all washed and ready for gifting.

Her birthday is 2 months away but I'm not sure I can wait.  She is such a major league Lucy fan (and a mom and a talented teacher) and I think she will just love this.

Have you been enjoying the Leafs me happy blog hop?  My day is Friday and I can't wait to share what I created.

Master schedule is here.

Happy Stitching!
