This month's Schnibble was Hook.
I used a charm pack of Moda Wishes to make a smaller version ( 26" by 29") then the pattern called for.
I had fun again with the circular quilting. I put hanging corners on 3 of the corners (quilt label on the 4th) so that it can be hung as shown here with the wide dimension long or can be hung with the narrow dimension long. (Make sense?)
It was a wet and rainy weekend so I ran outside to get a shot between showers. There are these twigs that fit perfectly to hold up the quilt!
My backyard is mainly wooded which provides great privacy in the summer. This time of year, you can see the house in the back if you look carefully through the trees.
Schnibble parade tomorrow at Sinta's and Sherri's blogs. I am interested to see what the April challenge is all about.
Happy Stitching!
This is a stunning quilt! The circular quilting is so wonderful. Your quilt looks great amidst your trees...the colours pop!
ReplyDeleteYou make me want to spiral quilt, it is definitely on the "list" :)
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt, especially the quilting!
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt, especially the quilting!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant idea! The small version is adorable... along with the fabric and the quilting! Fantastic little quilt! See you at the parade tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteLove that quilting... it really makes the quilt special! Great job...
ReplyDeleteYour Hook is beautiful! And the quilting you did is just stunning!
ReplyDeleteOh my, yours is the first version of Hook that I can say I really really love! The size, the colour, the quilting...all superb!
ReplyDeleteI saw your cheery little Hook in the schnibble parade and had to drop by to say how much I like it, and thank you for sharing. The colours really sing, and the red binding, j'adore! (red is my favourite!) Also, your off-set circular quilting adds an extra little something that makes your Hook quite special in my eyes! :-)

Your spiral quilting gives this quilt so much movement and flow. I don't think you could have picked a better design. I just love everything about it!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos in the dreary weather! Also, I love how you have "woods" in the back yard. Don't really see that in Australia. If a house has been built amongst the bush, it usually has acres around it, whereas your neighbours are still quite close.
