Finished the June block for the Blogger Girls Block of the Month. There are 6 blocks in total and you can choose to make each block twice using very different fabric placement.
Here are my six blocks all together. The fabric is Mama Said Sew.
The setting instructions are available as well. I'll likely adopt that but will play around a bit first before actually deciding.

Blogger Girls May block
Finished the May block for the Blogger Girls Block of the Month. There are 6 blocks in total and you can choose to make each block twice using very different fabric placement. This is probably my least favorite of the bunch. It reads too RED to me. One more block to go and I will make sure to include more gray.
Here are my 5 blocks all together looking happy.
If you have not yet entered my Sew Mama Sew giveaway for 100 pinmoors and a mini charm pack - see my earlier post. Giveaway closes Friday at 8pm est.

Red, black and grey blocks!
Finished the April block for the Blogger Girls Block of the Month. There are 6 blocks in total and you can choose to make each block twice using very different fabric placement.
I really, really like this one latest block - it is my favorite so far.
Here are the 4 blocks I've done:
And since I was having so much fun with Sweetwater's Mama Said Sew fabric, I decided to break open my charm packs and make the April Another Year of Schnibble with the same fabric. The pattern is Hat Trick and you can get more information here on Sinta's blog.
P.S. This is my 400th blog post!! Happy dance.
Congrats to Jo who won my charm pack of Enchanted Garden.

Sew Mama Sew
February block for the Blogger Girls Block of the Month. There are 6 blocks in total and you can choose to make each block twice using very different fabric placement.
Unlike the first block where I didn't need the directions in order to build the block, I followed the directions for this on. I found them well written but there was some fabric waste. Since I am using Sew Mama Sew layer cake (with some extra yardage of two of the red prints), my preference would have been for less waste. However, I was able to carve our 4 HST blocks from the waste so that should come in handy at some point.
I really do like this fabric - fun to quilt with quilty patterned fabric!
This is the January block.

Various blocks
I had several projects under the needle at once (or at least intermingled) over the weekend. I felt so productive!First up was the block for Votes for Women block of the month. I am not certain that I like the block especially as it relates to the other blocks. However, it turned out to be fun to make. I pieced it together and then needle turned appliqued it to the background square.
Next up was the 3rd block from the tiny quilt along at Heartspun Quilts. Shown are the three blocks to date - the one furthest to the right with all the HST is the newest block.
Finally, I decided to play along with the Blogger Girls Block of the Month. There are 6 blocks in total and you can choose to make each block twice using very different fabric placement. Right now, I decided to make just 6 blocks and I cracked open my Sew Mama Sew layer cake for this one. I always enjoy geese and star blocks so this was right up my alley.
Fun, fun, fun for sure!
Happy Stitching!
