Continuing to enjoy these two quilt projects.
The first is Barbara Brackman's Grandmother's Choice block of the week program. This block is called Bride's Knot and her post discussed how women essentially lost their rights when they married.
I love making flying geese blocks using my WingClipper ruler. This Friday's clue for Bonnie Hunter's Easy Street mystery quilt was flying geese 2 by 3 1/2. Her color purple is my color orange. This is such a pretty color - from Moda Good Fortune - and it should pop on the quilt!
I am making a smaller quilt that she is - for now making 1/4 of the requested block count so instead of 128, I needed 32. Now awaiting the next clue!
Finally, if you've not yet entered my giveaway as part of SewMamaSew Giveaway Day, please check out my post here.
Happy Stitching!
I love your fabric for Easy Street. And I`m looking forward to see more.

I just LOVE your choice of orange for the mystery quilt. Normally I make my own color choices from whatever I have in my stash...but THIS time I'm actually trying to go with Bonnie's colors because they are perfect for my youngest teen daughter's room. I can't wait to see your finished project.
ReplyDeleteLove your Bride's Knit...I tend to do mine a few at a time so hope to catch up this weekend. Great idea to do Easy Street a little smaller....your geese are great!
ReplyDeleteLove the orange. It will be so much fun to see all of the quilts once they are done.
ReplyDeleteAh orange, my favorite color, and that is such a wonderful orange you found, it's nice and clear. Your Bride's Knot turned out perfect - very nicely done.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your ORANGE!!!!!
